Liberals like Barack Obama have a passion for the very thought of taxing “the rich.” In their way of thinking, people who’ve earned – or inherited – any quantity of capital that puts these folks over the poverty level must have achieved their prosperity thru deceptive means.
In addition to “the rich” using what must have been devilish methods to get to their station in life, liberals have twinges in their DNA that let them know these so-called “rich” also have left a tragic lump of “unfairness” behind on their climb to comfort. The liberal imagination states that that the subjects of this “unfairness” and others in the world who, for unknown reasons, have not been willing to build prosperity for themselves, require more and much bigger federal government to step in and save them from the whirling weather system of capitalist boogeymen.
So, like Robin Hood, liberal federal government lifer kinds are always there in a variety of tax-funded offices, agencies, committees, groups, programs, centers and facilities to take capital from the haves, peel a big part off the top for administrative expenditures – for example salaries and perks for themselves – and send the reemainder to the victimized have-nots. The Tax Foundation reveals how the volume of Americans that are “net takers” from your tax system is virtually 70%!
Plus, if you listen to liberals including Barack Obama, this entire bureaucratic government money-go-round not just creates “fairness” but it may also resolve America’s killer debt and deficit spending catastrophe.
A wide range of liberals attended elite colleges and don’t appear dumb in the least bit. Can they legitimately imagine that taking one person’s dollars and giving it to a different person could seriously solve anything at all? Or do they only repeat their “tax the rich” talking point just because it may sound great and polls very well?
Now Who Makes Up These So-Called “The Rich”?
There’s no agreement among lefties about exactly what guidelines define “the rich.” The popular general opinion, at least as it’s been identified in some tax rules, is you are really “rich” once you receive $250,000 annually or more. At $249,000 per year, you’re a part of the downtrodden middle class, who has almost certainly been subject to “unfairness,” stepped over by “the rich” while they stomp everything in their way to get to their pot of illicit dollars.
But, happen upon a buck’s worth of loose change scattered around a sidewalk while you walk your middle class pooch and look out! In an instant you have become the cause of societal “unfairness.” And needless to say that from that instant on you will also be a nasty victimizer who has to be managed and regulated by an assortment of arms of Washington, D.C.
Could Taxing The Rich Improve America’s Dreadful Debt and Deficit Challenges? Liberals also adore to shout about precisely how Obama’s predecessor George W. Bush used to be borrow-and-toss deficit flooding lunatic. And they’re accurate holler about that because he was.
What they don’t inform you is the fact that Barack Obama has grown the national debt practically as much during the one half of his 1st term as George W. Bush did within his full two terms. Plus that’s before the tremendous bills for ObamaCare not to mention all of the other spending programs he’s got planned for a subsequent term start needing money.
What liberals furthermore won’t advise you of is that there is virtually no strategy to correct America’s debt concern just by taxing “the rich.”
As an illustration, even if the Federal government taxed absolutely everyone earning more than $200,000 at a rate of 100%, it would simply produce just shy of $1.3 trillion dollars. That’s 23% lower than Obama’s liberal administration is wasting this year. In simple terms, if we convince ourselves people would in fact continue working for the privilege to hand over 100% of their wages to Obama’s government, we’d still have to borrow hundreds of millions of dollars in addition from year to year to prevent Obama’s spend-crazy policies from collapsing America’s economy. And that’s before the pricey ObamaCare and other liberal programs start sending in their bills.
Chop it up any way you want and call it whatever you want, fact is we have a spending problem – not an “undertaxed rich” problem. And it’s looking like the best way to correct it is to vote in a President who understands how to operate a fiscally reliable national government.
